I hope everyone is remaining safe and healthy! If you are like me, you are welcoming this new season; when the temperatures start to cool down and the leaves begin to change…. The season is shifting and I welcome it with open arms.
I would like to invite you to take a look at the “PAINT IT NORTH CAROLINA Plein Air” Virtual Online Exhibition that starts on October 20th, 2020. There are preview tickets to view all entries prior to it going live on the 20th. This preview ticket, available on the 16th, will allow you to preview and purchase in advance any painting of your choice before it goes live to the public on the 20th. https://www.hillsboroughartscouncil.org/product-page/paint-it-nc-virtual-exhibition-preview-ticket I have submitted 3 lovely pieces I painted outdoors, that are all quite beautiful. Each could be a scene from anywhere in the country, and are ready to hang! The following paintings are:
Private Garden 15″X18″ Framed Acrylic which was a scene that I just had to paint from my own backyard in Garner, NC. I feel like it is a part of our own little private paradise; and it welcomes you with the earthy, natural tones of the autmnal Limelight Hydrangeas as they are changing colors and the tropical Banana Leaf Plants that are at least 12 feet tall.
Lake Benson Park 24″X12″ Acrylic Gallery Wrapped Deep Canvas is a scene from a local nature park in the Garner, NC area that has a beautiful lake and walking trails all around it, with private homes scattered along its’ borders.
Juniper Level Botanic Garden 21″X17″ Framed Acrylic was one of many beautiful walkways in a huge, botanical garden/nursery that is open to the public in the Raleigh, NC area. It was very private. As well as having acreage of beautiful plants, trees, flowers, succulents and greenhouses; they also had full landscaping and walkways with the names of plants in each bed area for you to envision the space at your own private home. It was really quite lovely and I had a hard time picking a spot. But I really loved this little area with the succulents and soft tree line of pines in the background.
These three pieces will be available through Hillsborough Arts Council and again will go live with the event on October 20th. https://www.hillsboroughartscouncil.org/paint-it-orange But if you would like to get a jumpstart on the public viewing…. you can see all of the artwork beginning on the 16th with the preview ticket. Feel free to share this email with any of your friends or family that might like to be a part of this.
I hope that this cool season brings quiet evenings and long walks, with cool breezes; as you soak in this special time of the year. I hope that my paintings portray the “change in the air” and the gentle whisper of autumn in your ears!
Take care and I look forward to chatting with you next time!
Hugs,
Sandra
