Happy belated Valentines Day to all of you. I hope you were able to have a wonderful day spending time with those you love and cherishing fond memories of those no longer with us. I know for me, it was certainly a time of reflection. We had a really nice day at church and a wonderful lunch. My pick was a delicious chunk of prime rib (one of my favorites) and splitting a piece of red velvet cake. Yum!
I wanted to share some pictures with you of the resin art that I have been infatuated with, as of late. I have been working with resin less than a year, but have really fallen in love with the mystery and what I can actually create with it. It’s almost like working with something that looks very much like glass, yet, you really don’t have to worry about breaking it so easily and it is extremely durable and heat resistant. I continue to do my painting tutorials twice a month and an occasional acrylic pouring piece. And, as always, I love to do commissions. If you had not seen some of my resin pieces, here they are above! These are a few of MANY!
I would like to invite you to a fun event on YouTube tomorrow, Sunday, February 21, 2021 starting at 2:45 PM EST. I am joining 5 other fluid artists in the Great Switcheroo Part Two where 6 artists switch some of their favorite pouring techniques with the other artists, and give it a go on a technique they may not do too often or have not quite mastered. I was picked to do a giant flip cup, and I sure had fun! I will be showing my video at 3:45 in the lineup of all 6 videos and would love for you to come join me. I will watch the video with you and be available to chat LIVE with you while the video premiers! You must be logged into your Google account in order to participate in the YouTube chat. Here is the link: https://youtu.be/ouUAfHSrzUc If you click on the link, you can tap on the “reminder” button. I would love to see you there and have your support. Maintaining a YouTube channel is quite time consuming and not very profitable these days. But I do it because I love my fans; and I love to share my techniques and knowledge and love of art with others. I just plain ‘ol love you guys! And that is the truth! So, I always ask if you aren’t a subscriber, to please subscribe and “like” my videos. YouTube responds better when people comment on my videos. Also, please share with your friends and family!
Also, it will be time for a giveaway soon. I think I will be doing one every time I reach another 1000 subscribers on my YouTube channel. I took a vote and people would love to win a “free painting lesson” from my Embrace Your Creative Spirit classes on my Thinkific platform. My last class was a fabulous Cowboy Boots painting! Take a look at them and as always, I add 2 a month! There are well over 40 classes to pick from at this time. https://sandra-lett.thinkific.com/collections
Have a great weekend! I hope you are staying warm and happy and healthy! Hugs!
