It has been a while! I have missed you. I am so honored to be a featured Artist in the upcoming Pop! Show on August 14th, 2025 (in just 48 hours!) The Pop Art movement started in the 50’s and has grown to be easily recognizable. Pop art takes everyday imagery—like advertisements, comic books, celebrity portraits, and consumer products—and presents them as high art, often with bright colors, bold outlines, and a sense of irony or humor. From the bold, eye-catching visuals to the playful themes inspired by mass media, Pop Art reminds us to embrace the extraordinary in the everyday. Whether you’re a seasoned art lover or just starting your journey, Pop Art offers something for everyone—capturing the spirit of popular culture in ways that are both nostalgic and fresh.
“WHAT IS THE SQUARE FOOT SHOW?” you ask. Square Foot Show began as a small, annual art party at Julia Veenstra’s studio in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada—each piece just 12×12 and at a single price. Since 2020, it has exploded into an online “Black Friday of art,” with collectors & artists spanning the globe and many artists selling out in just minutes. She loves nothing more than connecting thousands of collectors from across the world with incredible artwork from artists they might never otherwise encounter, all through her fun, fast-paced virtual shows. The fun continues with August’s POP! show, featuring a roster of 30+ incredible pop artists selected by a jury of fellow artists & collectors.
