A little about paint pouring: If you are not familiar with fluid painting or paint pouring, it is a technique used with acrylic paints and flow medium that creates unique and really amazing effects. Depending on the colors you pick and the medium you use (for example, you can add silicone to get amazing cells that pop up in the paint), you can get a wide variety of gorgeous effects. You end up with an incredible piece of abstract, fluid art that will amaze you, your friends, and family. Plus. it is a really fun thing to do! It is also a very relaxing, therapeutic and healing form of art that is great for everyone!
It’s a bit messy so don’t wear your favorite clothes! I will provide canvases, paints, gloves, cups, pans to catch the drips, silicone, pouring medium, stir sticks, cups, etc. for everyone to make 2 fluid pieces of art. I will do a demo in class that teaches how to mix the paint along with two techniques, dirty pours and swiping! Then everyone can pour their own masterpiece! We will do one canvas first, take a break with some snacks, and admire each others art. Then we will do the second canvas using the other technique. It’s a relaxing art environment with the goal of encouraging the creative art experience. The class will take up to 3 hours to complete depending on the size of the group.
*PLEASE NOTE* – Fluid art takes a minimum of 24 hours or so to dry. I do not recommend trying to take the pieces home with you immediately afterwards. If they dry for a day or so, there are no risks of your beautiful work moving or shifting in a car ride back home. I will announce how to pick up your dry, finished pieces at the end of class.
WHO: Class size can be any age group: school class (any age from 10 and up), bridal party, bachelorette party, couples, seniors 55+, church group, work party, reunion, birthday, any occasion! Also private lessons are available at a different rate depending on type of class taken.
!!!!WARNING!!!! This form of art is extremely addictive. Be prepared to have your socks blown off by how much fun and how much creativity each and every one of us possess! Art is healing for the body and the mind! Come prepared to have lots of fun!
