Summer is upon us! Is it just me, or did it just fly up on us so fast? I happened to get a mild case of Covid in April and feeling good again, thank goodness! I have been doing a little Spring cleaning, making some new drapes for the house, repainting front porch steps, and so it goes. I am sure you are getting into the mood for the Summer and fun times outdoors. It is wonderful to watch our yard come alive again. After being dormant in the winter, the grass turns green again; the Limelight Hydrangeas are growing their bright green leaves, the Banana Leaf Plant Trees sprouted just a few weeks ago and are already about 4 feet tall or so; the roses are starting to bloom; the Hostas are already about 3 feet across on the shaded side of the house; and the Yellow Calla Lilies are sprouting up out of the ground. So, I know that my beautiful yard will be in full bloom in the next six weeks. With that, it brings a sense of new and fresh growth, life! And that is always good to see. It enriches our souls and inspires artists to create!

I was very unproductive those three weeks I laid low while I had Covid. I started back in lightly with some drawing and mixed media abstracts on watercolor paper. I have done a group of pours and gotten back into resin art, which is my latest love. I am very honored and humbled that Counter Culture DIY, THE resin company that I work with. Yes…. I said THE!!! They are a phenomenal company full of wonderful employees and a generous owner. They featured me in their Blog recently and I thought I would share the article with you. It just tells a little about me, some of you may already know! For others, it may be a little new information. Who knows? https://counterculturediy.com/art-resin/ask-an-artist-with-sandra-lett/ Take a look at it and enjoy the questions.

I also want to remind you that besides my website https://sandralett.com/ (which is loaded with tons of photos of my art available and what has sold); I also have an Etsy shop where I sell smaller items, smaller paintings, resin pieces and a few prints too. I have asked you, my friends and followers of my art journey, to take a peek and see if there is anything that might appeal to you. It is always wonderful to get support from the community, whether you live near or far! Here is my shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/SandraLettArt I also offer a Resin 3D Flower Coaster Tutorial there with 3 different techniques for those that are interested in pursuing resin art themselves; as well as my monthly acrylic painting classes that are $35 for an individual lesson, and the new lower prices of $30 per month or $350 per annual subscription (with a free $150 valued painting at the end of your year’s subscription as a thank you gift from me). With monthly and annual subscriptions, you have access to all of the 40+ acrylic painting videos. Once you start any lesson on my platform; you will always have lifetime access to that class. https://sandra-lett.thinkific.com/collections. The Summer is a great time to sit and relax and do some “arting” either on your own or with friends or loved ones. It is what is good for the soul! One of my all time famous quotes by Thomas Merton . . . “Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.”

Please email me back! I always love to hear back from you, as I love to hear what is going on in your life as well. That is always encouraging to me and it lets me know that you are really out there! I have a fun announcement in a week or so that I am super excited about and I think it will be time for a giveaway then too! Thank you so much for being a part of my life in art and many other ways. Stay happy and healthy!
